Douglas Fir cladding
With a beautiful natural finish, our Scottish Douglas Fir cladding is strong, durable and extremely workable.
Available in lengths up to 13m it is an ideal cladding material.
Caledonia Timber Douglas Fir cladding is an excellent alternative to Larch or Cedar with fantastic properties.
All of our Douglas Fir comes from sustainably managed Scottish forests, and is a joy to work with. Naturally straight and strong, Douglas Fir is a very stable cladding material. If left to weather, over time it will take on a silver appearance, similar to Larch.
The strong heartwood used in our cladding means that Douglas Fir cladding will remain straight and stable, even when processed into narrower timbers.
Square edge cladding
Our square edge sawn cladding can be used to form Yorkshire boarding, open boarding or overlapped for board-on-board cladding. Our Square edge cladding is air dried and supplied off-saw.
Waney edge cladding
Our waney edge cladding will give a beautiful natural look to any project. The waney edge is hand-cut to ensure no bark or sapwood is left on the timber, which will degrade over time.
